I have thick calves and ankles, and I had a tib fib spiraling fracture last March in Valdez--so there's a big sensitive bone growth on my inner/lower shin.I need new boots because one of my old solomons was cut off in the emergency room in valdez...I'm skiddish, need performance, fit, and comfort.I saved my old custom footbeds--would like to use them.advice, comments?Also- if you can suggest any other boot to fit the above requirements, please do. I'm 5'5, 125lb , my homemoutain is Mammoth-so I have the sierra cement factor to consider! Thanks

Hi Robin!! I really like my Rossignol Intensive I 12 boots and they sound like they would be perfect for you. I also have pretty hefty lower legs and ankles and some nice shin splint bumps on my inner shins from running. I am 5'4" and about 120 lbs and the boots work great for me. Good luck with your search and I hope this helps!
