One of the reviews said the plastice logo was cheap looking compared to the embroidered logo. What is your opinion on this...specifially the El Cap?Are all North face logos plastic lookng now or only on certain models?

i think it is a great shirt... err... technically, it's a sweater (it's a long sleeve!) but it feels like a shirt. Breathable. Light. And the logo, the "flexible rubbery" iron-on-patch kind-of-way that you may be worried about... Well... i'll go half-zee on that; it does look kind of cheap-see (for the price you pay ~ by that i mean, come on North Face, why go w/cheap-zee?). Aside from the North Face logo looking like an iron-on-patch, the long-sleeve shirt... errr... i mean light weight (polyster) sweater is really, really perfect for a bike ride along the beach. Be warned though: i would bring a jacket if it is windy because this sweater/long-sleeve shirt is all about being comfortable & looking nice. Nothing more; nothing less.

On mine, I wouldn't call it "plastic looking." I would say more of a "flexible rubbery" substance. (And it's a model to model thing.) I most definitely wouldn't call this a deal-breaker either. This is a great shirt in so many aspects!
