definitely great for a treestand. They are lightweight too so getting there is nice. I have used them standing still to about 10 degrees with one pair of Darn Tough mid weight socks and was plenty warm. didn't really even think about it at the time which means I must have been warm.

I think these would be great boots for a deer stand. I've used these and also the Caribou's and they were both plenty warm whether you're moving or not.Hope that helps.
