Does anyone know how the 2007 model compares to the current model being sold in stores? I really like the current one, but I'm afraid to buy the old one online and find out it's very different.A few things I noticed myself: the 2007 model has a detatchable hood, whereas the new one is not removable. Does anyone know why they did this? Was the old one not warm enough? I also noticed the old one has one less pocket, and the zippers look a bit harder to grasp. But are those the only things?

My 2007 jacket has a hood that is super warm, even though it is removable, so I have no clue why they seem to have gotten rid of that feature- personally, I love the fact. there are no pit-vents in my 2007, either.. which kinda sucks, but I usually wear it in weather so cold I doubt I would use them. The zipper pulls for the hands are very small, so they can be a pain, but the main zipper in the front is easy to use with gloves, but the pocket on the left wrist has a small zipper as well. the inside pocket is a little larger. i really do not think they are that much different, i love my 2007 one. good luck!
