A few questions... Are the soles of these shoes as ridged as the XA Comps? If going through rivers and streams, would the water flush out or be trapped in the shoe? I'm looking for a great pair of trail running shoes for Ultralight backpacking.

The soles have a very similar rigidity as the XA Comps. These shoes breathe well and keep debris out fairly well but they don't flush water that well. If you hike or run through a stream the bulk of the water will flush out but you'll definitely have some leftover in the bottoms of your shoes....Hope that helps.
