I always wear a size XL or XXL in shirts and jackets because i am big busted. I am a 40D would the XL fit or should I look at other brands?

I believe the XL would fit you. It fits my sister who is a 38DD, and I think that ends up being the same total measurement. It would be a bit tight, probably not a good fit for over a really heavy sweater or multiple layers. But over just a regular shirt, you'd be fine.
