I hear the Ortovox X1 is shite. Is the Patroller of the same mold? If it's an updated version, does it take care of all the problems of the X1?

The patroller and the X1 are very similar if not exactly the same. My favorite beacon is the Pieps DPS. I have heard good things about the patroller though.
