How is this jacket in comparison to The North Face Men's Aconcagua Jacket? This one seem to have better down (650 vs 500) but it looks a bit thin. Will it work for -5C weather?

The LoDown Jacket is a tab bit heavier (665g vs 598g) which leads me to believe that the LoDown is stuffed with a little more 650 fill down than the Aconcagua with 550 fill. I have not actually felt an Aconcagua so it is hard to say. The LoDown Jacket was designed to be a little thinner than our other down jackets for layering and if worn with other layers would probably work great for -5C weather. If you are looking for a little more warmth... check out either the Sub Zero Jacket from Mountain Hardwear or the Phantom Jacket from Hardwear. The Phantom is stuffed with 800 fill down, is super poofy, and is super light as a result of the high quality down. Hope this helps...
