I need a wider toe box with a narrower heel. I find that Brooks and New Balance are too boxy. Are these shoes better for my type of feet?

I have a wide and high forefoot and a narrow heel/ankle,. The XA Pro 3D is perfect for that. If you have a very wide foot, try the men's version which last is a little wider. The rest of the shoe has the same caracteristics and features for men and women.

I have a relatively narrow heel, average toe width. I found the heel on this particular shoe to be too roomy for me and had to send it back before ever getting on the trail. My heels would come up off the footbed if I stood on my toes. Salomon's XA Comp 3 of the same size fits me much better, more snug in the heel (I have worn through both the regular and GTX model and I loved them both!).

I think this would be a great choice. I have a narrow heel and prefer a wider toe box and the salomon's I've used have completely fit the bill.Hope that helps.
