OK, I am a distance horse rider, 10 hours on horse back. I already ride with just a straight camleback for liquids (for me). Saddlepacks for the horse cause rubs and sweating issues, I am thinking of moving up to a full backpack. I am 6' tall, how low does this ride on your back? I am trying to determine if it will interfere with the pommel (the rear) of my saddle.

I'm 6'1 and have the large pack. The bottom rear of the waist strap sits right on the bony plate at the top of my buttocks. the bottom of the pack, however, drops lower than that, probably 2-4 inches. I can adjust it to ride higher, but I cannot attest to it comfort over long distances like that.
