It sounds like this is not a great jacket for really cold wasatch conditions, top of Snowbird, etc. Is that right?

The Bastione should be plenty warm enough for the top of Snowbird. It has a quilted synthetic liner that is warmer and lighter than 200 weight fleece. It is also versatile because the liner is removable for warmer weather.
