I have a X$250 Mongoose bike received as a gift. It is 27 speed - The left rear cable broke. What kind of cable is compatible with the model bike?

If you have v-brakes or mechanical disks, then these will work fine. If you have hydraulic disks, then you need hydraulic cables and fluid.
