Depends on your activity level/outside temp. Definitely wouldn't wear it in warm weather, but if it's freezing outside it's probably alright as long as you aren't thrashing too hard. I would probably recommend one with ventilation, as you can always throw on a beanie but you can't just drill holes. I really like my Bern helmets, more comfortable than some low-level giros that I have worn (softer foam)
