is it water proof? like can i be in the heavy, thick, wet snow all day and have my stuff stay dry?

its pretty water proof i mean it would prob get soaked in like a torrential downpour but if you fall in powder it keeps ur stuff dry

Depends on how much you fall. If never, then your stuff will probably stay dry. But really, I don't even think it has waterproof zippers. Not many backpacks do, save very high end. If you want your stuff to stay dry either wrap it in a garbage bag or plan on using waterproofing spray regularly.
