I usually replace the laces in all my boots and trail shoes with 550 paracord. The color selection is endless, some even having 3M reflective material woven into the cord, which is visible from 500 ft in headlight or high-powered led spot. Just search for 550 paracord on ebay, it's usually a couple of bucks for 30-50 ft.

You can purchase different colored laces anywhere. Just remember to select the proper length.
