I am looking for the thinnest gloves possible, to be worn in summer, for protecting the hands against the sun.Are the Marmot Base Layer Gloves suitable for this purpose?Thanks, Dalia

Dalia...I'd probably say not. However, any cover over the skin is better than nothing. The reason I say not is these are made more for a wicking baselayer to be worn inside another glove. If you're looking for UV protection, I would look for a thin glove with some sort of titanium oxide woven into the fabric. Titanium oxide will also enable items to transfer moisture super fast and to dry three times faster than standard polyester so it would be great for summer so your hands didn't get sweaty wearing a glove. I don't see any gloves like that on this site however.
