Yes! I am also 5'9" and a solid 145 and they fit great. I bought the L, and they do stretch out and get a little saggy if you wear them a few times between washes, but it's never bothered me. If you are thinner, I'd probably go with the M, but I don't know if they are shorter...I know the L is long enough for sure!
