How does this compare to the Nano Puff synthetic sweater? I love that, but am looking for a warmer jacket that I can wear over my regular clothes for around town errands, etc. and the Puff doesn't quite do the trick in Minnesota in winter. I have a mega down jacket too for winter camping and REALLY cold days, but I'm looking for something thinner, more stylish for general use. Thoughts?

The Down Sweater is definitely warmer than the Nano Puff, and sounds like it would be a good option for you. Or for something even warmer, check out the High Loft Down Sweater from Patagonia. It's new this year and is basically a warmer, and longer Down Sweater. I think the High Loft might be just what you're looking for.

IMO, this is a little warmer than the Nano Puff but not by a huge amount. I wear this jacket on cold winter days but I always wear a baselayer under it.
