Do any XTERRA / Trail racers have feedback on using Wildcat's as training & racing shoe?

I'm currently running Trails in Brooks PureGrit trail shoes, but my ankles are wrecked after 5 miles of running. Any feedback is appreciated in advance!

@ Jeff C. Thank you for the feedback! I can live with the weight:support factor since I'll only be racing up to 22k. Raptor's are the other model on my list too :)

I've always enjoyed these. They aren't super light, but the amount of support in the heel is well worth the weight. I ran in these for quite some time before going to the Raptor. I trained for several marathons and ran one in these.
