I love North face footwear.. However I bought a pair last year, and the mesh on the side of my baby toes started to tear. Now I am not sure if I should another shoe with mesh on it. I would want it for working out at the gym..and for walking outdoors... is this a good shoe?

This pair does have that very same problem. I've had mine for about a month now and already they are starting to get holes in them. The soles are very sturdy, it's a shame that they have to go to waste because the mesh wont hold up. I was hoping to use them as my trail running shoes, but it looks like they won't make it to the summer.

I agree - great shoe, but try the non-gore version if you aren't going to be outside a bunch.
