a Ski Patroller here, I have one of the Red Frequency Audex Motorola Bluetooth Helmet and use it with my patrol radio.. should be the same for this helmet. I made up a mono cable that goes from the ear plug jack from the mike (I use a mike with my radio) to a stereo jack into the BT transmitter (one that you use for a MP3/CD player). works great. make sure you get a BT transmitter with a good battery life. (I ended up making a little 6V battery pack that I plug (min-USB) into the BT transmitter (after 6 hours) to keep it going through an 8+ hour day, also works good to give the helmet a quick charge). the "Red" helmet also shuts off after no sound after some time (30+ mins). just have to make sure that on those quiet days (when the SP director is out :-) that you talk to someone every so often. I like having a volume control handy while riding the lifts. the problem I have with BT (in general) is that there is a delay. If you have another patroller (with a radio) next to you, it gets hard to hear as you basically have an echo.
My complant of the RED/GIRO BT helmets are the size of the head phones.
We are talking Geek / GearHead look :-(
