I have a white North Face Arctic Down Parka and I can't find any directions on how to clean it. Does anyone know?

it says to hand or machine wash it (on the inside tag), but to remove the fur part of the hood, first. i'm a little worried about it being white (bought the white and black, and am trying to decide) because of how fast it will get dirty.... :/
