I'm about to order the K2 Sidestash in 174cm. Think this would be a good binding? I ski mostly side country & trees on the east coast.

Absolutely. This is a great Binding that can handle nuclear fallout. Love this binding

Definitely a solid choice for what you want to do. These things are bombproof and it sounds like you are looking for something very reliable and able to stand advanced terrain reliably.
