for a child I always recommend the type of boots that have the removable liner, I'm not sure if its Kamik or sorel that has the inner boot liner that you can take out and dry out. either that or buy boot dryers.

It depends on where you are living and how the circulation is on the child's feet. If they live in a winter climate like MN this may not be the best boot for a younger child, but if the winter climate hovers around the 15-20 degrees and above this boot would be just fine and work well in the climate that they are in.
