I'm 6 foot and 185 lbs. I go to school in CO and will ski the Vail resorts after winter break. I've been injured off and on since HS (had to take last season off) and haven't been able to progress as I would had I not been injured. I just finished up a couple days at Telluride and was starting to get the hang of double blacks again. Would it be terrible to go with the 184s? I skied some 179s at Taos the other day and they felt great. My main weaknesses right now are steep moguls and trees. Would 184s stunt my growth or is it possible that once I get better these will feel too short? Any advice is helpful.

All things considered why not go with the 177? If your goals are steeps and bumps then the extra maneuverability afforded by the shorter length will help. I am sure you can handle the 184, but I am your height/weight and have skied both the 177 and 184. 184 is in my quiver, but I skied the new ski in the 177 last spring. The 177 is so stable, that there is no concern there. The biggest problem right now is finding them in stock!
