I ordered the blue version of this helmet (which seems great), but it doesnt seem to have the super soft fabric on the ear pieces, just sort of regular cushioning... am I missing something or are the pictures kind of deceiving? Thanks!

Jess, I think you're right. the images that Smith supplied retailers with were probably shot pre-production of the helmet with some color ways having the fur and other not having the fur. looks like the Bright Plum Alpenglow for sure has the furry detachable ear pads.

I don't think the pictures are deceiving. The ear pieces are very comfy. After a full day because of their snug fit (at least on my ears), it's nice to take the helmet off for a bit of an ear breather though.
