Are these boots waterproof???

They are NOT - however, they are full grain leather which works VERY well with waterproofer / sealer. In most cases, if these boots fit nice and if you like the styling, the water resistance you will gain with a treatment will do you fine. Typically a GORTEX liner is what makes a boot more waterproof but even with that, they require treatment to prevent the shell layer from sucking up too much water. People choosing a boot with a gortex give up some breathability, the boot also typically weights more - they gain a boot that can handle being subjected to more puddles and less vigilant treating of fabric to stay waterproof.
