Would I be able to fit inside this tent comfortably with my 52L pack? I'm traveling in south america and am worried about theft. If not this tent, any other 1 person tents that you would recommend?

probably not, but your pack should fit under the vestibule where you can keep an eye on it. my brother has the 1man Eureka spitfire and fits his pack in with him just fine. the mountain hardwear sprite 1 will for sure fit your needs if you can still find one... you might also try an extra long bivy that you could fit your gear in with you, but then again when you are not in the bivy with your gear, people will know your pack is in it... there is not really a lot out there that is designed such that you can fit your stuff in with you. you might check out 2 man tents as well. they wont be much heavier than the same model 1 man.
