hey these Mammut Dyneema slings the 8mm 240cm ones are fine to use in an anchor system for top roping they just seem so thin?

You could use them...but for the price/durability ratio...I would go for something a little more burly. Or just use cordelette, which is much easier to equalize than these slings.
