Is that a walk mode toggle on the back of the bindings? I am just curious about these bindings and the voile interface. I am interested in getting a splitboard setup as I want to start exploring the backcountry. Does anyone know about the Karakorams and how they match up to the Lightrails? Thanks.

I know what you mean. That lever on the high back is a forward lean adjuster. I'm old school (started SB'ing in '88) and I still ride a SL/GS race setup with my original Burton Reactor boots that use a plate binding (see hardbooter.com or carver's almanac). The Reactor's have a Ride&Relax lever that does 2 things: Releases the upper cuff for walking comfort and has 3 presets (newer boots have 5) to lock in forward lean. At this time no highback binding has a similar lever.

That would be the Forward Lean Adjustment tab for the highback(see last photo). Cheers.

Hey JV, not sure what you are referring to/looking at "walk mode toggle", do you mean the metal hanging down in the back of the binding in the first picture? This is a support tab that fits into the heel puck and keeps the binding from shifting when in touring mode and standing flat foot. It is also there as a guide to stop the binding from sliding off the pucks when in riding mode... If you go with Karakorams you have to use their splitboard hardware; one more thing to buy... drop me an email for more information.
