I get really cranky if I can't get my map stuffed into the side pocket properly for easy access (right side, I am a righty). Any experience with that?

Thanks for your reply. When hiking it's usually a regular 7.5 minute map (so quite a wad). When climbing long multi-pitches it's usually just a photocopy out of the route guidebook. I'll give these a try.

adr. How big is your map? I have kept route topos for climbing in the pocket but never tried a map. I hope they work out! Cheers!
