Hey Paul, the XA's tend to run a bit narrow. Although, Salomon did come out with a wide version of the XA, it is called the XA M+. Check it out! http://www.backcountry.com/salomon-xa-pro-3d-ultra-2-m-trail-running-shoe-mens
