Yes, it is! But don't use regular detergent!! The soap gets inside the coat and gets it all gummed up. Use something like- http://www.backcountry.com/nikwax-tech-wash-and-tx-direct-wash-in-duo-pack-300ml and it will restore the water repellency as well!
