Does anyone who's skied a pair of anthems before know how well they handle backcountry terrain i.e. booters, drops and fluff landings in general?

I have A pair of anthems 08 and they are really pretty good in powder. And also pretty dood in drops. Its a reponsive ski. Also its got buttter zones which mean you can press back in owder

They are a park ski that is wide enough to stay up in pow, but they are still a park ski. The won't be anywhere near as good as a set of boards designed with powder in mind. Take a look at the Line Blends, K2 Kung Fujas, and maybe the Line Elizabeths. They will hold up in BC much better than anthems will.

Unless you plan on sticking to the park. I would recommend getting something a little more burly (stiff). The Anthems will be to soft for mach speeds and bombing cliffs, but if you are fairly small in stature they may be stiff enough (say 125 lbs or less). As for riding pow I own a pair of Line skis that are 85mm at the waist and they do fine inbounds and yes that's on 24" days.
