Could anyone give me a hand?

Im looking to buy a set of splice googles but im not sure what lense to purchase. My problem is I only want to buy one lense and i board mainly in austria (the saalbach area) and im not entirely sure what lense would meet my requirements.

Any help would be most apprieciated, Jonny

Hey Jonathan, to see the different lenses Visible Light Transmission percentages, just click the "Size" link at the top right of this page below the "Select Options" dropdown menu - there you will see the specs for all Oakley lenses and hopefully provide you with some good insight.

I have an emerald iridium lens on my Crowbars, and it works surprisingly well in all conditions. It cuts the bright sun pretty well and is contrasty enough for flat light and low visibility days as well. I have other pairs of Oakleys with Fire, Hi intensity yellow, and Persimmon lenses, and I haven't needed them since I got the Emerald lens (except for a couple night sessions, then I used the yellow ones).

Get the Smith I/O. The frame is designed to change lens in a matter of seconds, and comes with a low light and high light lens. Also, new to this season is the Oakley Airbreaks. They look a little better and I believe Oakley is far better. Nonetheless I wear I/Os. Airbreak design is very nice and sleek. But the "user view" isn't as big as the goggle makes it look. You have less of a view than the Oakley splice. But I like my I/Os more than my Splices

Check out oakley's web site. http://www.oakley.com/innovation/optical-superiority/lens-tints Poke around a bit. They give a description of all of their lenses and what light level they are good for. Iridum is for bright sunny days. The persimmon are for low light days like when it is snowing. You should consider getting a least two lenses for different conditions. They change out super easy.
