Hello all!
I'm beginning my hobby of winter mountaineering. I've only done a couple of mountains in the winter; I'm mostly a summer hiker (Colorado 14ers). I'd like to start doing a few in winter, Mount Rainier, and culminate with Denali. Would these boots be enough for Denali or would I need something more towards an 8000m boot?

These boots won't cut it on Denali unless you get extremely fortunate with weather. The Spantiks are next up on the warmth scale (in the La Sportiva line, anyway), and even with those boots people typically use an overboot above 17Camp (40 Below Purple Haze...etc...) I wore my Millet Everest boots the entire time, even low on the Kahiltna, and didn't regret it. My .02 ...
