Question for somebody at Backcountry. Has cirrus been updated as an insulation at all? I had a luft last year and it was kind of a joke even compared to 60g of Primaloft One. I assume you guys have CLO/oz values, any chance you could share them please?

I also attempted to contact Backcountry multiple times about clo values and didn't get a real answer either. I've been skiing with their Welder Insulated (100g cirrus and a slightly heaver shell) and have been happy with it over a midweight baselayer 80% of the time skiing in Utah. Its been used on 5 degree days with a R1 and 320 weight merino midlayer and comfortable with pit zips open at 40. It did fine on bluebird days, but when it was puking out the fabric wetted out. I recently picked up a nano puff to use under a new eVent shell. Id say the warmth while testing them standing outside wasn;t as dramatic as I was hoping. The stoic was warmer, but not considerably. Its probally closer to PL Eco or Infinity than Primaloft one. However for skiing, this jacket is fine, for lightweight hiking - id look somewhere else. **Real world active use could vary from my sedentary use sitting on my porch.**
