Hi kpencil, The Women's Heli mitt's shell is made of windproof, waterproof and breathable HESTRA Triton/Polyamide. If you're partial to Gore-Tex, I'd recommend checking out the Hestra XCR Mitt - it is very similar to the Heli Mitt in terms of fit and warmth; the main difference is the XCR has a Gore-Tex insert combined with the HESTRA Triton shell fabric. This waterproofing combination might give the XCR an edge over the Heli Mitt on the wettest days; however, for the majority of days on the hill, either of these mitts will be excellent.
