A Question about Ride Lowride Snowboard - Boys'
By ktkraiger1582567 on October 8, 2008
I don't know my terminology when reading about this board. My son currently has a board with "capped" edges and I'm looking to get him a new board with "slant" edges. I'm interested in the Ride Junior Lowride. Does this board have slant edges?

What you're talking about is not the edge itself but the sidewall. capped sidewall construction is when the top layer of the snowboard (topsheet) covers the sidewalls. What you're son is seeking is called sandwich construction. Most snowboards are built with sandwich construction anymore - it's lighter and cheaper to repair.
Ride has what's called "Cleave Edge" where the sidewall is slanted at about 45 degrees. This particular model doesn't have Cleve Edge.
