I wear a women's size M in the Colombia Arcadia Rain Jacket and there is enough room for layering underneath. i'm 5'10, 155. Are the two jackets comparable in size? Should I get the M or L in the Torrentshell (I don't want to swim in it but still want to layer)?

I am the exact same height and weight, just got my Torrentshell in Medium and it is perfect. Long enough, room for layers underneath, Fully waterproof, not too big. LOVE this jacket. You should be happy with a Medium.
