This or the Arc'teryx Gamma MX Hooded Softshell Jacket?
I'm looking for a softshell thats warm with excellent wind and water resistance. Which one should I go for?
Open to any other suggestions.

The Stoic is much heavier and much warmer. I think of them as two different kinds of jackets. The Gamma MX is more versatile and will allow much freer movement. The Stoic Welder Hi will keep you much warmer. It has a high-loft, very soft fleece lining. The Gamma MX has a low profile fleece lining that feels nice against the skin but is not really noticeable. The fit is similar, although the Stoic is more trim throughout but with longer arms that require adjusting with the velcro straps. Gamma MX just has an elastic cuff. Think about what you want the jacket for and compare the specs and reviews again.

This is a great value but Arc'teryx will be better quality. Check out Norrona... Amazing stuff and great prices
