I actually have a question about the XLC490 universal version - has anyone tried them with soft, flexible-soled hiking boots? I am looking for a light crampon for snow and rock trips where stiff mountaineering boots and steel crampons are an overkill. How would these work with soft boots? Any alternative suggestions? Other questions - would these fit on very wide size 12-12.5 boots? And can one get antibott plates for these? Thanks!
