Osprey V. Camelbak
I've been looking at getting a larger reservoir and have been debating the new antidote vs this guy. The reviews saying the camelbak has leak issues pointed me towards this one. However I still like the idea that the new camelbak doesnt feel like a sausage on my back all day and was wondering if the frame sheet on the osprey prevents that as well?

I used this for 7 months when the rubber piece within the lid came off. It somehow expanded and cannot be put back. It leaks badly and useless hence. My 6 year old camelbak still works. If you ask me, go for the camelbak.

Matt, As Mitch said, the frame sheet keeps water from bunching on the Osprey reservoir, but it also makes putting a full reservoir in a bag that is also full of your stuff a lot easier too. The hose protector on the front of the reservoir is a great handle when filling the reservoir. The lid leaks about as much a regular Nalgene bottle--just make sure the plastic piece that connects the lid to the reservoir opening is all the way down when you screw the lid on... Osprey also makes a cleaning kit for drying--but I have seen some smart folks use a wire hanger and bend it so that it keeps the reservoir open while you hang it to dry. Hope this helps!

Yes the frame of the Osprey Hydraform keeps the water from bunching in your pack, giving you an irregular feeling on your back. I have had my 3L Hydraform for just over a year and have never had a problem with any leaking. The only minor problem I have had is after cleaning, keeping the reservoir open so all the moisture drys out.
