In short: exchange L for XL, or return? 6'2", 220 lbs, 36" waist, 33" inseam.
I love the Overhang size XL that I picked up a while back, but when I ordered these I didn't have the Overhangs handy and couldn't remember my size, so I ordered a size L by the sizing chart. No I remember that the size L Overhangs were way too snug around my 36" waist, which is why I exchanged them for the XL. The Microlith L showed up today, and they actually fit great, except that the crotch is way too snug, as some reviews have stated. I'm wondering if exchanging for the XL would give a more relaxed fit in the crotch, even if it means I'll have to cinch the belt down a little more. Or can I expect the fit to relax after a dozen or two wearings? Or are these just cut with a more "athletic" fit that I'm not really digging?

cgi100555817 - Stoic Microlith Pant are designed with a more athletic cut. One reason for this cut is to allow them to be layered under shell pants without interfering with fit of the shell. I would not count on the fit changing much on these pants after a little use. The Microlith softshell consists of nearly 10% spandex which helps maintain consistent power/stretch through the life of the pant.
