I am 6'4" and 220lbs. I tried on the Theta AR in XL and L and thought the L fit better (not as loose). Should the Theta SV fit similar to the AR and would a L still be the best choice? I find arm length to be the limiting factor in most jackets so I want to make sure I have enough length.

The THETA SV is definitely roomier than the AR. I just got the SV a week ago and I noticed the extra room right away. I also did a comparison with the theta AR, ALPHA SV and the Theta SV- one on top of the other, and the THETA SV is the biggest of the bunch. It should fall under arcteryx relaxed fit catagory as it is the same size as my sabre SV. Stick with the LARGE.

The cut and fit of these jackets is the same. If the AR had enough arm length for you in the L then the SV will as well. The difference between the jackets is bells and whistles, as well as what material is used with what finish. The SV is more durable than the AR.
