Could anybody comment on the durability of this? I am particularly concerned about for how long this will retain the "spring", before degrading to just a static leash.

I used the double spring option of this leash this last winter in Ooray, CO at the ice climbing park they have. I spent three days with it there and two days with it elsewhere and the elasticity never wavered. I wish I had a more "long-term" experiment with it but it worked fantastically and I have no complaints plus it matches my ice ax. Cheers! Creighton.
