A Question about Kelty Gunnison 2 Tent 2-Person 3-Season
By JeffB on October 3, 2008
My girlfriend and I are planning a self-supported trans-american bike tour. We'd like something light and free standing without a lot of "crazy poles" with vestibules to protect panniers. We'll be going out in the early spring, so it shouldn't be too cold, but we'll definitely be getting rained on.Think this fits the bill? Will it hold up to 40+ days of camping?

It looks like you've decided on a free-standing tent. This is a basic two pole design with a nice size vestibule for all you gear & two doors for easy access. My main concern would be weight & the Gunnison is a mid to mid-heavy weight three season tent. I think you could certainly get 40+ days + out of this tent. To me the vestibule seals the deal!
