Thanks Dwayne; *I still don't know the size of these tent stakes...Do you?* I do understand that about the stakes, but, having a large cabin tent (Eureka 15' x 12'), I just want to be sure, I won't pull "a Dorothy" in The Wizard of Oz," lol!
I bought these & several other really good tent stakes already; (for several different terrain & weather types)! I live in FL & the wind, esp.@ the beach or with rain, is way up there!

as he said below, the length of the stake is not always as important as the profile. basic newtonian physics tell us that an asymmetrical wedge type stake will cause more friction and thus have more grip and hold better than a round long one. a tent that size probably weighing 30lbs or more should hold its own in some moderate winds anyway, but if you are that worried about it, pack it full of gear to weigh it down, and attach the anchors in the below link to your guy-lines and stakes. http://www.backcountry.com/mountain-hardwear-snow-sand-tent-anchor http://www.backcountry.com/coleman-tent-anchors or you could always get a lower profile tent or upgrade (or downgrade, depending on your philosophy) to steel tent poles for your existing one. hope that helps.
