Would these work as "water shoes" as well? They look pretty well ventilated. If you soaked them would they dry quickly on foot? Also, is walking around in them normally fine too?

I've had mine soaked a number of times and though they don't dry especially fast, they do stay comfortable. Don't buy them with water use as your primary goal, but don't shy away from the water if you do get them.

I would not use them as water shoes, it is the soles inners that will have the hard time drying. You can use them for everyday use, I have a few "barefoot" models I use for walking the dog etc.For a water shoe, nothing beats the Salomon Techamphibians yet
