Will the brown color fade significantly and absorb into the threads running along the seams?
I just received this jacket having never seen it in real life. I ordered the brown expecting a lighter shade like in the picture with the threads to be the same color. Mine is a very dark olive drab brownish color with loud, contrasting off white threads running along all the seams. The label says the color is brown and there's a tag mentioning a special dyeing process. I dont like the colors or the loud "euro" styling with the threads as it is now. Is this jacket designed to fade when it is washed and color absorbed into the threads to reduce contrast? the picture makes it look a solid brown but mine looks a dark olive drab brown with white lines running everywhere

kbowen271123376, Thanks for your question. Many of the KUHL garments feature a petina dye, that gives you that worn look once you have washed it. This is a common feature in their pants. Since the Burr jacket is cotton I would expect a worn finish once you have washed the jacket, and over time. If you are not enthusiastic about that, Backcountry has an outstanding return policy. I hope this is helpful for you.
